You'll notice a bit of a change in the room layout. Rob, the video editor, needs to work full time for the next 3 to 4 months so
we made his area a little larger. Also he has increased his rent to ensure weekday access until 6:30. Daytimes during the week are usually vacant so I am hoping this will not cause much problem and it is only for the next few months. If there is a confloct please contact me and we'll see what can be done.

Now that daytimes are seemingly unavailable it'd probably serve us all well to not be greedy with time slots, especially before other people have the chance to sign up. Whatever happened to one slot per person until everyone's got one? THANKS FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION.
Times have been tough to get on the board lately, agreed. Dave and I have missed the chance to practice during the week as soon as Monday sometimes- totally filled up. Not bitching, though - we usually take a weekend afternoon and still love the space.
Possible solutions?
- Canceling as soon as possible. I go in there to drop shit off all the time when people are scheduled, and no one's there. We've been guilty of this too, keeping our one slot to ourselves but can't get in there. The extra step would help keep it more open.
- Split the night slots. Are you practicing in the evening (7-9) or are you practicing at night (9-11/12)? Dave and I are guilty in the first post this week, 6:30 - 10. If we put 6-9, someone else could practice later.
- Just call! Last week, Jared was really great when I called him about breaking off a bit of his weekday practice time to accommodate us. Thanks, Jared.

hey this is jared- just wanted to say i've been thinking about similar ideas to those mentioned in the last two posts, especially now that day-time slots are gone for a while. here's an idea: when Matt first posts the sign-up, whenever that is (Sunday or Monday usually), everyone takes one slot only. then if there's still something open by tuesday everyone has a shot at a second block of time. thoughts? in spite of more limited availability i'm still grateful to have a spot like south sixth, but it seems it'll only work if everyone's thoughtful toward everyone else.
ps- in the spirit of Bob's comment.. I won't be in tonight (wednesday) til eleven thirty instead of 10, so if you Smash-ups wanna go late or if anyone wants to grab a quickie in-between slot please feel free. -jared
